Having a baby - help!
Published 6 months, 1 week ago in My life.Hi Nooksters - advice for first-time parents is required:
My hubby and I have hit the second trimester with our first baby (we’re at 15 weeks) and now that all our friends, family and colleagues know our news (what a relief), the reality of what is ahead is really starting to hit home. We need help!
We did the Mother’s Day Classic walk on Sunday and the sheer variety of prams and strollers was scary. Where do we even start to find a pram for our treasured arrival.
Do we go for a 3-wheeler or 4-wheeler? How important is a boot cover? Rain cover? Insect net? Do we really need to worry about a toddler seat yet? Let me get through one labour first before thinking about bubba No. 2, I reckon.
And, while we’re on the topic of babies… how much more of the tummy-inspection look-up-and-down can I expect? Is it something I just have to get used to?

Oh, and bellybelly.com.au is a great resource for new mums and mums to be, you can join a group of mums to be all due around the same time and talk about your experiences, my sister found it invaluable.
Also on the pram thing, go and try a few out, my sister got a Phil and Ted’s prams (3 wheeler) it is light and easy to manouvre, also look out for the pregnancy and baby expo on (around september i think) at Jeff’s shed, you get loads of freebees and info!
hope i could help
