baby on the way

Can anyone recommend a place to go in Melbourne (prefer eastern suburbs) to get a pregnancy massage?

When I was pregnant I had a pregnancy massage at the Melbourne Natural Wellness Centre on Collins Street. Not in the east I know, but they were really good. A friend of mine went there too and had a good one.

    Hope that helps.

Good luck for the rest of the pregnancy!

    Hi,

City Haven Massage Therapy at ‘Idental’, 3 Belmore Road, North Balwyn offers pre and post natal preganancy massage. Their phone number is 9859 7859 and you can also lie on a belly mat so enjoy massages lying on your tummy right up to 40weeks of pregnancy. Google them to find out more on their website.

    Regards,

I can thoroughly recommend the pregnancy massages at TLC Natural Health Works, located at 1st Floor, 163 Glenferrie Road, Malvern. I have had massages there throughout my three pregnancies (and in between times too) and have never been disappointed. Their setup is fantastic with a special pregnancy cushion which allows you to lie (fully-supported) on your tummy and just drift off while the massage therapist works their magic. Truly wonderful! Ah the luxury of a massage! Have you priced them lately, at about $1 per minute! Lovely to imagine, but that’s all I can do these days…I’m sure the baby will enjoy the experience also….

    Hi Sallyanne

Can’t help with a recommendation for massage but I do know many pregnant women find they benefit from Bowen therapy, particularly if they are suffering with backache.

Bowen doesn’t involve any manipulation but works along energy meridians, causing the body to “reset” itself. Not only is the body realligned structurally, but the function of the organs is addressed. For more information you may like to google Bowen Therapy.

If you are curious to experience it yourself I’d be very happy to give you a complimentary sample treatment. I think you’ll find the benefits from a session of Bowen last longer than that of a massage. My practice is in East Bentleigh and if you’d like to know more please feel free to call me on 9570 8907 or 0415 948 234.

    Suzanna
